Art Books Gallery

Artbiblio is a gallery specialised in eighteenth and nineteenth century art books. Its design was inspired by jewellery displays in order to enhance their exceptional books, whose timeless beauty is revealed by the lighting, as well as the oak lining with open wood pores, presenting the wood’s grain. Artbiblio’s strong identity is highlighted by the use of the oak, which was also used to produce the bespoke vitrines, tinted for contrast. Each one displays one book, within a network of vitrines built into the oak lined wall beyond which is the restoration studio. A working table at the centre of the gallery showcases the various stages of the book restoration, allowing for the visitor to discover the minutiae behind the finished books on display.
